A man, identified as Javed Sheikh, built a toy car for his daughter, Tanjila, from scratch in western India's Maharashtra.

The car was in the making for four months in a garage in the Pimpri-Chinchwad locality of Pune.

A video witnessing the making and the working of the car features little Tanjila cruising the streets of her locality in her brand-new red vintage toy car. Apart from its tiny structure, the detailing and precision with which the car is designed makes it stand out on the streets. The onlookers stop in their tracks to behold the experience.

A few months ago when Tanjila visited a mall in Mumbai, she had her heart set on a toy car. However, on inquiring more about his daughter's desired choice of transport, Javed was informed that the toy car was manufactured in China and cost Rs 60,000 (805.26 USD).

Being a sinophobe and an automobile repair expert himself, Javed was determined to give his daughter the toy car she wanted, but manufactured in India. So, he took it upon himself to build the car from scratch.

After the country went under lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Javed had a lot of time on his hands and dedicated all his efforts solely in manufacturing Tanjila's toy car.

He single handedly designed the car, gathered all the required parts and assembled the car. Being a garage owner, he did not have much trouble in assembling the car. His father would also come out now and then to help him with his progress.

After working his sweat and blood for four months into the car, it is finally ready to cruise the roads. The toy car is complete with shock absorbers, powerful lights, battery, steering wheel and a soft cushioned seat. Apart from that, its vintage design is an added bonus.

Currently the car is functioning on an engine found in two-wheelers but Javed has plans of modifying the car into a more light-weight and battery friendly model.
