A heartwarming clip shows a son surprising his mom and sister with an envelope filled with cash. The gesture was designed to spread the Christmas spirit they missed out from in years past.

Filmer Danny Cerruto said: "Growing up my mom struggled to give my sister and I a good Christmas. As a domestic violence survivor she did what she could to buy what she could. It kind of got worse into my teenage life and adulthood. She would just say 'one big present for each' or just give us a $100 each. My sister became a single mom as well and works a little above minimum wage as a housekeeper. So I've been saving up what I can. I saved up a total of $4,000 and gave them $2,000 each to make sure they get what they needed for Christmas this year. It was a complete success because my mom and sister got everything they wanted to get. This will probably be the best Christmas we had as a family since my mom left her abuser."
