This is the adorable moment a family of sea otters went for a dip in an apartment block swimming pool.

The cheeky little marine mammals wandered inside the grounds of the building in Sentosa Island, Singapore, on October 19.

Restaurant worker Bidut Hossain watched from a balcony as the playful creatures race each other to the end of the pool.

He said: "This has happened around three times since I worked here. After they take a bath, they return to the sea as if they are children playing."

Bidut added that the sea otters had visited the pool while it has been empty due to Covid-19 measures.

He said: "They come here but do not destroy things or harm people. They just swim so we let them until they leave."

During the lockdown, other sea otter families have also raided public spaces in the past few months.

In May, a group of sea otters feasted on expensive ornamental fish at a pond inside a park in Bishan.

Sea otters can weigh up to 45kg making them the heaviest in the weasel family, but among the smallest marine mammals.
