'A nightmare': Londoners attempt to sum up the year 2020 in just one word
As 2020 soon draws to a close these Londoners on the iconic Carnaby Street give a brief description of how the unprecedented year has affected them.
The footage captured on Christmas Eve conjured a variety of answers with some outright funny and others finding the little bit of hope in a year nobody saw coming.
One person said: "2020 has had its ups and downs, but it's all about getting through it."
Another simply put it: "A nightmare."
The year brought most of the world into a serious lockdown restricting the movement of people to tackle the deadly coronavirus, which has now killed 1.79 million people and infected over 80 million.
"It's been such a difficult year for everyone, but really interesting to see the goodness in people come out," one man said in a more heartwarming take on the year.
