A woman in Salinas, California, has spent 10 years collecting various ornaments to create her perfect Christmas tree village.

Evelyn Martinez says it has been her long-standing dream to display the ornaments she has been collecting over the years in a unique manner.

She suggested the design to her husband, who helped create the base of the extravagant tree from scratch.

Complete with four independent layers, the tree consists of hundreds of unique ornaments, lights, artificial snow and plays Christmas tunes on loop.

The footage was captured on December 25.

Speaking about the video Evelyn said: “I’ve been collecting for my Christmas village for years, about 10 years, and it’s been my dream to display them in a unique way. I asked my husband to build this one for me and he was able to create it. People have said they love it, and we get lots of questions about how we made it.”
