Father and son jailed after beating up police officer as they queue for coronavirus tests in China
A father and a son were jailed after they beat up a police officer when queuing for coronavirus tests in northern China.
The video, filmed in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on January 1, shows a 68-year-old father and his son attacking officers in protective clothing and other residents trying to separate them at a coronavirus testing point in a residential community.
According to reports, the father named Lin jumped the queue and had an argument with other people lining up to receive coronavirus tests.
A police officer in protective clothing tried to stop the argument but was beaten up by Lin and his son.
The court deemed the son and the father guilty of obstructing official duties and were sentenced to one year and ten months imprisonment respectively.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
