The All-Women Air India cockpit crew, led by Captain Zoyal Aggarwal, set a national record by performing the first San Francisco-Bengaluru flight, an estimated distance of 16,000 kilometres.

Flight AI176's route took them from San Francisco at 8:30pm over the North Pole and north Atlantic on Saturday (January 9), and arriving at the Karnataka state capital at 3:45am on Monday (January 11).

Air India claims this is the longest commercial to be operated by any Indian airline.

Flight AI176, which departed from San Francisco at 8:30 pm (local time) on Saturday, landed at Bengaluru Airport at 3:45 am (local time) on Monday. This is the longest commercial flight in the world to be operated by it or any other airline in India.
