Heavy advection fog was captured shrouding mountains in eastern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on January 22.

The Mount Lao was partly hidden amongst the blanket of heavy fog.

The advection fog occurs when warm air passes over a colder surface and the bottom of it cools down.

1月22日，受近日升温天气影响，青岛崂山巨峰游览区出现腊月时节罕见“平流雾”美景。据悉，平流雾是因暖湿空气与地表之间温差较大时，出现的水汽凝结而形成的独特景观。这是多年来在“腊月”巨峰极少出现的罕见美景。站在灵旗峰顶向下望去，雾气从四面八方款款而来，随风蔓延飘荡，远处的山与海瞬间便笼罩在一片片雾气之中,只剩下不完整的轮廓、轻柔的线条和飘忽不定的影子，遥望仙气飘渺，近看青山叠翠，如梦如幻，宛若仙境一般。或许正因如此，崂山才有了“海上仙山”的美誉。 （视频由青岛台提供）
