This species of crustacean is called the candy crab due to its vibrant appearance and its ability to blend into its colourful coral surroundings.

The candy crab grows to about 2 centimetres in size and their bodies are covered in spines allowing the crustacean to blend into coral reefs.

They feed on plankton caught up in coral.

This footage was filmed in April 2016 off the coast of Apo Island, Philippines.
