Today anti HS2 campaigners living in Poor’s Piece Wood were evicted from tree houses in a big Thames Valley Police operation. The eviction started yesterday when National Eviction Team bailiffs working for HS2 allegedly violently assaulted a number of the activists and one of them remains in hospital. The anti HS2 campaigners have been living in the woodland at Poor’s Piece with permission from the landowner Clive Higgins who is most unhappy about the way HS2 have handled the eviction. The controversial High Speed Rail 2 from London to Birmingham put 108 ancient woodlands, 33 SSSIs and 693 wildlife sites at risk
