Trees marked up and ready for destruction by HS2 Ltd, near Wendover, Aylesbury, UK
HS2 have marked up woodland ready for felling as part of the High Speed 2 Rail link from London to Birmingham. The project is massively over budget and environmental activists are fighting to save a large section of woods nearby. HS2 put 693 wildlife areas, 108 ancient woodlands and 33 Sites of Special Scientific Interest at risk. The construction work has cut a big scar across the Chilterns which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
