A property developer painted floor plans on the backs of female models, causing controversy in northern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Xi'an in Shaanxi Province on March 18, shows two female models displaying the floor plans of a building on their backs to customers at a property promotion event.

Customers were seen taking pictures of them.

According to reports, local authorities suspended the property developer.

Netizens on Chinese Twitter-like Weibo commented: "Don't use vulgar things to attract people."

"Using women as marketing and promotion tools. Shall we need to investigate if the models were forced to do that?" Another commented.

However, other people said: "It is so funny. Those models did not say no. You are worrying for nothing."

The video was provided by local media with permission.

视频显示，该楼盘开盘产品鉴赏会当天请来了两位女模特，女模特的背部画着户型图，项目方特意在模特背上标注出商铺 27.00㎡和 A3 [ 43.89 ] ㎡。


记者了解到，针对此事，该楼盘的工作人员回复称，并不清楚。

3月21日，陕西航天经济技术开发区宣传部一名工作人员在采访中表示，事件发生的当天就已经采取措施，目前已暂停开发商的销售行为，也约谈了涉事项目负责人。并且市场监督部门下发了函件，住建局也将联合市场监管部门进行查处。

据公开资料显示，西安星河9号是由西安丰佳瑞起置业有限公司开发的写字楼、公寓项目。该公司成立于2012年8月，注册资本为1000万元人民币，法定代表人为赵全民。企查查资料显示西安丰佳瑞起置业有限公司目前的经营状态为开业。

截止记者发稿前，该楼盘售楼部电话暂无人接听。
