Bangkok Train Station to close after 105 years service to become a museum
Archive material filmed on 5 December 2014 of Bangkok Train Station,Thailand. King Chulalongkorn (Rama 5),the traveller king,commissioned what is now the State Railway of Thailand. He modelled Hua Lamphong station, which opened on 25 June 1916, on Frankfurt's main railway station. It is of Italian design.
Hua Lamphong is due to close later in 2021 and become a museum. It will be replaced by Bang Sue station.
The royal coaches were manufactured in England by Cravens, a Sheffield company renowned for quality.
