A friendly whale approached a boat off the coast of Baja California, Mexico, and let a group of tourists stroke it.

Footage from February 2019 shows the marine mammal partially breach the surface, allowing the boaters to reach out and touch the animal.

Alizah Akiko, the filmer, said: "This clip was taken while we were cruising off the coast of Baja California. The whales were so friendly that they came up to our boat to get nose rubs!"

''While sailing a sea in Baja California, Mexico on February 19, 2019, a group of tourists found a couple of whales approaching them.

However, to their amusement, it was revealed that the whales were just seeking human interaction. The filmer, as well as, other passengers on the boat gave the mammal a gentle nose rub.
