Police were forced to intervene for the second weekend in a row as hundreds of car enthusiasts gathered near a power station in Nottingham, UK.

An unmarked police car was seen being blocked off by a spectator refusing to move.

Nottinghamshire police were forced to intervene for the second sunday in a row as 100s of car enthusiasts gathered near to the Ratcliffe power station in Nottinghamshire. The event attracted 100s of drivers and spectators as vehicles were seen speeding through roads and crowds were seen ignoring social distancing.

Cars were also blocking the sides of roads and a number of roundabouts had cars parked on them. An unmarked police car was also blocked as a spectator stood arrogantly in the way, refusing to move despite being ordered to by a police officer.

Police had already moved drivers on from a number of other locations across Nottingham but were once again unsuccessful in preventing drivers gathering at the site near to the East Midlands Parkway train station and Airport.

Police have not yet issued a statement and it is not known if any fines were issued at the event which took place on the eve of the relaxation of the coronavirus lockdown rules in England.
