Scuffles between police and protestors broke out at a demonstration in Berlin's Schöneberg district on May 18 after a protestor was arrested.

Hundreds marched through the city on Tuesday evening to voice their support for the autonomous youth center Potse, which was due to be evicted Wednesday morning.

Although the eviction was postponed after lengthy negotiations with the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district, Berlin's autonomous projects and squats, a core part of the city's alternative and creative subculture continue to protest against the increasing number of evictions.

In the last nine months, three major left-wing hubs have been evicted, including the Liebig 34 squat where 50 people lived.

Many demonstrators are concerned that people will be left in a vulnerable position, especially during the pandemic.
