Thick black smoke was emitted from a cargo ship that carried chemicals caught fire in the seas of Srilanka

MV X-Press pearl ship was carrying 25 tonnes of nitric acid and other easily flammable materials in 1486 containers with around twenty crew members on board was sailing near Srilanka.

The ship has a Singapore flag on it. Fire was caught on 20 th and still it can be able to blaze off.

It's been stopped there with the help of the anchor Srilankan Air force and coastal department are trying to put the fire off..
Moreover the chemical s from the ship has been depleting the sea creatures. Also people who belong to the coastal areas where that particular ship was burning is not allowed to venture into the sea even to get wet with the waves
