Disney production company begin preparations for filming at disused Derbyshire Quarry
Middle Peak quarry in Wirksworth, Derbyshire has drawn attention across Derbyshire this week after a production company owned by Disney applied to close a road and footpath at a popular beauty spot and disused quarry. E&E Industries which is owned by Disney is rumoured to be filming either Indiana Jones or 1 of two Star Wars productions which have recently begun filming.
Aerial shots show little happening but a telescopic handler can be seen with a green screen sheet on which will be used during filming.
The Quarry in recent months has attracted controversy as the water was died black to deter trespassers swimming in the hazardous water at the base.
