An Indian artist has made a miniature model of Hindu Lord Balabhadra's Chariot Taladhwaja out of 10,220 matchsticks.

Ratha Yatra is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath and will be held on 12 July this year.

It took the artist nearly 11 days to make the model, which includes representations of Lord Balabhadra as well as his Sarathi (charioteer), and various animals.

While Rath Yatra will still be held in Puri, Odisha state, because of the pandemic it will be held without devotees.

On the occasion of world famous Rath Yatra, a artist has prepared a miniature model of Lord Balabhadra's Chariot Taladhwaja by using 10220 match sticks. The height of the model is 32 inch and width is 14 inch. It took me nearly 11 days to prepare this model.

While making this chariot model, the artist included Lord Balabhadra's idol along with His Sarathi (Charioteer), Parrots, Wheels, Horses and other such artifacts which are actually present in the Lord's Chariot. In view of the pandemic this year, Rath Yatra in Puri is to be conducted without devotees just like last year.

Through this craft of the artist pray on behalf of all the devotees to the trinity to wipe away all the pain and difficulties of mankind and save the world from this pandemic.

The Artist said Whenever ever he went to Jagannath Temple, He would observe carefully the Ratha construction work which he have used as a reference in this miniature model.
