'When things don't go according to plan, you make a new plan! And this is exactly what Megan McArthur did when she surprised her boyfriend following her comeback from her underway.

Megan explained to us how she had to shelve the original plans for her long-awaited reunion with her partner: "My boyfriend (Theo Craig) is a Marine in Camp Pendleton and went on deployment to Okinawa, Japan for 6 months. A month before he was supposed to get back, I was told I was going underway (I’m in the navy) for a month on the USNS Mercy."

She continued: "So, all the planning I was doing to run up to him when he got back from deployment went out the window. Now, he would be the one greeting me off the ship a couple of weeks after he got back, instead of me greeting him off the plane."

Megan added: "I didn’t tell him I was back and had my friends pick me up. A couple of hours later, I surprised him. It was a long half a year for both of us."

The filmer shared that dual military relationships are hard to maintain. She also stressed that it's what it is and totally worth it at the end of the day.
