Colleen and Arkadiy are from California and they got a precious opportunity to visit Shanghai. Now, they are visiting a small Qipao shop, which has lots of beautiful Qipao with various styles. Although small, the shop has passed down for four generations. Each Qipao is handmade, including the buckle and cutting. They also have their own workshop. The clerk showed Colleen the sewing, design and selection of fabrics. In this shop, you can special fabrics and patterns, including those very modern ones. Eventually, Colleen decided to order a Qipao and the one she chose had straight lines on the piano keyboard. After get measured, Colleen was told the Qipao can be picked up in two or three days.

Qipao is also known as the cheongsam. It is a type of body-hugging dress of Manchu origin. It is a high-necked, closefitting dress with the skirt slit partway up the side. Known as mandarin gown during the 1920s and 1930s, it was modernized by Chinese socialites and upper-class women in Shanghai.
