As giant bins are blown away and residents run for cover, a girl on roller skates is left behind to battle intensely powerful winds in Minsk, Belarus.

Footage shot on 17 August 2021 shows gusts nearly blowing parents and children down the street, along with huge refuse cans the wind has already toppled.

Suddenly a girl appears in shot, wearing roller skates -- the worst possible footwear when what you most need is for your feet to grip the ground.

After being knocked to the floor, she realises the only way out of the nightmare is to crawl on her hands and knees to buildings across the road.

Pushing through what must be terror and pain, she eventually makes it across the road despite nearly being swept sway by the wind several times.

Another man, pushing a pram, is not so lucky. After he tries to pick up the stroller, it acts like a sail and throws him and the child he is pushing, into the road. Eventually he is able to pick himself up and drag the stroller and the child to the side of the road.

The footage shows how gusts of wind overturn garbage cans and almost knock down a mother and child, who runs to the entrance. In addition, another child runs to the entrance, who can hardly cope with the gusts of wind.

After the wind has scattered the trash containers, a girl on roller skates appears in the frame. The wind drops her to the asphalt, but on her knees she stubbornly strives for the saving entrance.

The wind is getting stronger, but this does not stop another participant in the minifilm. A man with a child, who sits in a stroller, walks as if nothing had happened in the pouring rain. Before reaching the entrance a few meters, he tries to take the stroller in his hands, but a gust of wind pulls it out - the stroller, together with the child and the man, falls on the asphalt. The man lies on the ground, then he rises, picks up the almost folded stroller, helps the baby to get up. Another gust of wind lifts the baby and the stroller into the air. The man holds the child tightly and brings it to a safe place.
