A quick-thinking diner caught an infant who was about to fall before hitting the floor.

CCTV footage shows the baby lying in a stroller unattended inside a restaurant when she suddenly leaned forward inside the carrier in Anhui, China.

Moments later, the man in a brown jacket noticed the stroller subtly shaking as the child performed bridging on November 6.

He sprinted across the room, losing his balance in the process and falling to the floor along with the stroller.

The lad managed to catch the baby mid-air before they both hit the ground. He then repositioned the stroller and gently cradled the child.

The mother of the baby and the restaurant owner said: 'Our customer handed my child back, and I was confused at first, but when he explained what happened, I was deeply moved by what he did.'
