Playful parrot checks his reflection in traffic camera in Brazil
This is the amusing moment a curious parrot photobombed a highway traffic camera – to check his own reflection.
CCTV footage shows the bird repeatedly looking into the camera as vehicles drove on the BR-116 highway near Curitiba, Brazil on October 29.
Highway management company Arteris Planalto Sul said the parrot is believed to be a turquoise-fronted Amazon, which are commonly kept as pets for their vibrantly colored feathers and entertaining temperament.
He added: ‘Parrots are attracted to the shiny reflective surface of the camera. They look at their reflection in the surface.’
