Oil barrel suddenly explodes in Chinese man's face as he attempts to cut it open
An oil barrel exploded abruptly as a man attempted to cut its lid open in southern China.
CCTV footage captured in Yiyang, Hunan province, shows a man cutting the barrel that suddenly exploded and bounced up in the sky before landing on the road.
Fortunately, the man suffered only minor injuries and there was no damage to other vehicles or people.
It’s reported that the barrel contained some waste oil and its lid was not opened earlier, thus the explosion was believed to be caused by the remaining gasoline being ignited.
The video was filmed on November 18 and provided by local media with permission.
