Khanyisa is an orphaned albino elephant rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. She came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) and went through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare. Since then, she has integrated into the Jabulani herd of rescued and orphaned elephants. Watch as they wait for her to join them for a day of foraging in the wilderness.
