At least 21 people including two children were killed late on Monday (March 7) evening after Russian aircraft dropped bombs on a residential area in the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy, according to the Ukrainian government.

Footage filmed exclusively for Newsflare on Tuesday (March 8) showed many flattened homes and vehicles on Romenskaya Street and Spartak Street.

Sixteen houses were destroyed or damaged by the bombardment, according to Ukrainian officials.
