Hundreds of villagers in Kashmir have attended the funeral of a slain policemen and his brother, a day after suspected militants shot dead the pair.

Video filmed on Sunday (March 27) in the Budgam district of Kashmir shows emotional scenes as mourners place flowers on the coffins of the brothers. Ishfaq Ahmad and his brother Umer Dar suffered critical wounds when suspected militants barged into their house on Saturday evening.

"Every eye was moist here as both siblings were young and were loved by all the villagers for their jolly nature,” said one mourner.

Women were seen showering tofees and flowers on the coffins of two siblings. Ishfaq, an indian police cop and his brother Umer suffered critical wounds when suspected militants barged into their house on Saturday evening.
