'Go home!' Rollerblading volunteer urges residents to stay indoors during Shanghai's lockdown
A rollerblading COVID-19 worker urged residents to stay at home using a loudspeaker during Shanghai's COVID-19 lockdown.
The video shows a Chinese resident breaking the local lockdown rules as they went outside to take a walk.
Then a COVID-19 worker skated over with a loudspeaker repeatedly saying "Go home! Go home! Go home!" in order to encourage the resident to go upstairs and to their home.
The COVID-19 worker was reported to have come up with the idea of rollerblading when he tried to improve the efficiency of transmitting supplies to residents.
Lockdown in Shanghai has continued for about a month and communities rely a lot on the COVID-19 workers to implement the strict lockdown rules and require residents to stay at home, especially in the area where there’s an increasing number of COVID-19 patients.
The video was filmed on April 12 and provided by local media with permission.
