Dwarf teacher ordered to stop making vlogs of himself eating cow dung
A teacher with dwarfism has been ordered by police to stop making online videos of himself eating cow dung.
The 4ft-tall dwarf named Chim Sopheak, 29, known as ‘Teacher Dwarf’ to his subscribers, was summoned by officers in Kandal, Cambodian, after he supposedly ate animal feces in one a video.
He claimed to be eating the 'delicious family meal' fresh from a nearby field. However, it was so popular that police viewed it and became concerned that it could make the third-world country appear even more poverty-stricken than it already is.
Chim and his cameramen reported to the police station on April 6 but explained that the video ‘was only a prank’ and that the dung was actually mashed chocolate cake.
However, despite his pleading, officers stood firm that he must be barred from uploading vlogs on the internet as ‘they have affected the leadership of the government by claiming that people have no food'.
Major General Chhoeun Sochet said: ‘They need to stop these activities. Their videos were not helpful to people. They affected the leadership of the government by claiming that people have no food.’
The production team was made to sign a contract stating that ‘they would stop these activities’ and apologise for causing confusion to the public.
Police said that the teacher and his team would not be charged with any offence unless they continued uploading provocative videos.
