Thousands protest during Labor Day in Manila ahead of Philippines election
Labor unions and supporters of current vice president Leni Robredo staged a large protest on International Labor Day, ahead of the country's presidential election in which Robredo runs for office.
The footage filmed on May 1 shows large crowds marching down a street in Quezon City in the Manila area. They're holding up banners and are overwhelmingly dressed in pink, the campaign colour of Robredo.
The current vice president is currently trailing front runner Ferdinand Marcos Jr, son of the country's former dictator, who holds a strong lead over Robredo. The election will be on May 9.
