Locals met internet-famous feline celebrities during a cat exhibit in Thailand.

The Universe of CAT event held at the Seacon Square Shopping Centre in Bangkok showcased different adorable cat breeds, and was also attended by pet cat ‘superstars’ who are famous on social media.

Video shows the felines lounging around in cages, cubbies, and cat towers, as visitors observed and petted them.

Posters were scattered around the exhibit, detailing information about the different breeds of cats – from British Shorthairs to Maine Coons – at the event. More than 40 booths selling cat-related products were also opened.

Attendees who bring their own pet cats can get a free polaroid picture, and are eligible to participate in a cat-drawing workshop.

Songsiriwan Lertnarong, marketing activities manager of Seacon Square, said Universe of CAT was organised in time for the semestral break. Interesting tidbits about the fluffy felines were collated to make the experience both interesting and informative.

Universe of CAT ran from March 11 to 20 at the Seacon Square Shopping Centre in Bangkok.
