Residents in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam, attempted to save dozens of pigs as floods submerged areas in the province.

Footage from May 23 shows a family herding the animals into their house to rescue them from the rising waters.

A rescue team later arrived and moved the residents and their pigs to a safer place.

According to local people, flash floods suddenly hit their area, preventing them from moving the pigs in time.
In the video, people try to move the pigs over the flood water to move into their house.
The filmmaker said that the pig herd has more than 40 heads and is the biggest asset of their family. They try to protect the pigs by moving them into their house. They prayed that the floodwater would not rise further to protect the pigs and waited for the rescue team.
Soon after, the rescue team arrived at the house and moved the people and the pigs to a safe place.
