Vietnamese man deals with the stress of a flooded home by fishing in the floodwaters
A Vietnamese man showed us all how to make the most of adversity when he went fishing in the same floodwaters that had inundated his home.
The bizarre scene was filmed in Vinh Phuc, where, according to the man, floodwater more than a metre high suddenly appeared after heavy rain and surrounded the house.
Fortunately for the victim, apparently a keen fisherman, fish appeared with the floodwater. So he quickly grabbed his rod and started fishing.
He was so successful at it that he was able to feed his whole family for several subsequent days, during which time they were isolated by the floods.
Flooding has affected several northern provinces of Vietnam, inundating thousands of homes while landslides have damaged road and rail links. At least three people died.
