Authorities in the Spanish city of Valencia use this remarkable machine to shake their many orange trees and catch the falling fruit.

Elise van Mechelen captured the vehicle in action back in 2021.

"It happens every year in Valencia," she said.

"Unfortunately, the oranges hanging in the city are not edible due to their bitter taste. They are processed as compost in the local agricultural sector," Mechelen added.

'Valencia is the place to be if you love oranges and watching things falling down in style.

Shared by Elise van Mechelen, this eye-pleasing footage shows a unique mechanical vehicle surrounding the bottom of a tree full of oranges with an umbrella-like structure, before it starts rattling said tree to collect most (if not all) of the oranges on it.
