An artist who pushed himself to learn a new technique during the Covid-19 lockdown has revealed his incredible collection of masterpieces on TikTok – all created with his feet.

René Vignola, a 21-year-old artist from Puebla City, Mexico, decided to try a new technique during lockdown and quickly discovered he had a hidden talent.

His incredible artworks, which he dubs “PataDibujos" (Spanish for paw drawings) include detailed paintings and incredible foot-drawn portraits of celebrities – all of which he shares on TikTok with his 40,000 followers.

In one clip, René grips the pen between his big and second toe and begins to sketch hair, then more features emerge until Glastonbury headliner Billie Eilish is revealed to be the subject.

In another drawing René creates an incredible likeness of rapper Kanye West.

Another paw drawing shows the artist doodling a beard before slowly shaping a face – that of actor Will Smith.

Keeping on theme with pop princesses, the artist also creates a nod to Ariana Grande.

Watermelon Sugar singer Harry Styles also gets the foot treatment, as scratchy lines and doodles slowly take shape to form a portrait of the singer.

“I have always been interested in everything related to art. I discovered this new skill – in search of getting out of the conventional I decided to try a new artistic challenge for myself,” René told NeedToKnow.online.

“I started with cartoon drawings but with my increasing progress, I decided to raise the level of difficulty by making portraits of celebrities, and by uploading the videos to TikTok I received great support from the public.”

René’s foot drawing of Kanye West on TikTok (@patadibujosrenevignola) has already received an impressive 4 million views, with some curious to know how he could create anything like this with his feet alone.

One user said: “That’s actually impressive.”

Another person said: “Bro can draw better than me with his toes than I can with my hands.”

Another user was put off by the toe element, saying: “Don’t ever lend me your pencils and pens.”

One person was impressed by the ability to even hold the pencil saying: “you have such a good grip.”.

And one person even got ideas saying “I’m inspired.”

When asked why René had branched out in this way he said: “I am an empirical artist, I not only make art with my feet, I also use my hands and with them I make drawings, paintings, sculptures, and crafts.

“I am studying international trade, but this does not stop me from doing this hobby that has been with me for as long as I can remember.

“Oil paintings are also something new in my artistic career, I started doing them since mid-2021, I have also mixed these two new techniques and called them ‘patoleos’ (which means oil paintings made with feet in Spanish).”
