Bright sun halo forms above clouds in the Philippines
This is the beautiful moment a bright sun halo formed in a clear blue sky.
The impressive circular-style rainbow was seen in Baliwag, Bulacan, the Philippines, on June 16.
Onlooker Evelyn Lapena said: 'It was my first to see such a beautiful ring of light shining in the sky.'
Scientists believe haloes are formed when ice crystals from high cirrus clouds reflect sunlight or moonlight. They are sometimes called 22-degree haloes because the radius of the ring is roughly 22 degrees.
The halo's size differs depending on the angle of reflection.
