This is the incredible moment a green snake swallowed a whole tokay gecko whole while hanging on a wall in Thailand.

The deadly predator was filmed engulfing its prey as it clung to the hollow block wall outside a toilet in Ang Thong province on August 7.

The serpent's midsection could be seen pulsing while forcing the meal down its throat. Only the gecko's tail and foot were visible from the snake's mouth before disappearing into its bowels.

The homeowner called snake wrangler Rata Tapeantong to removed the snake and release the tokay gecko. However, it had already been consumed by the time she arrived.

She said: 'The homeowner wanted the gecko to survive, but it was too late when I arrived. We had no choice but to let the snake go.'
