This is the dangerous moment a plastic boat flew off a pickup truck's cargo bed on a highway in Thailand.

Dashcam footage shows the small boat loaded onto a pickup driving along a motorway in Nonthaburi province on August 9. As the vehicle sped forward, the apparently unsecured vessel falls from the cargo bed and slides across the road.

Motorist Parinda Supeepree, 28, who was driving behind the truck, braked just in time to avoid a nasty collision. However, her abrupt stop caused two other cars behind her to crash into each other.

The boat's owner is seen backing up to get the fallen vessel but reportedly left the scene right after.

Parinda said: 'The owner came down and retrieved the boat lying on the road and just disappeared from the scene. He didn't even try to take responsibility for what just happened.'

A total of three cars were damaged in the incident.

Motorcycle rider, Paiboon Tabklai, 53, who was involved in the accident, said: 'I was riding a motorcycle when it all happened. I saw the cars parked on the road so I tried to avoid them but got hit by another car instead. The boat owner should take responsibility for the damage caused.'
