A pickup truck flipped after over after trying to overtake on a highway in Thailand.

Puk Angkana was driving on the motorway in Samut Sakhon province on December 22 when she spotted the black pickup quickly approaching from the left lane. She immediately hit the brakes to avoid a deadly collision, but the pickup skidded on the central island, causing it to flip over.

Dashcam footage shows how the vehicle tipped on its side and bounced on the road after hitting a guardrail. Onlookers rushed to check on its driver, who later emerged from the truck's rear window apparently unharmed.

Meanwhile, the front of Puk's car was reportedly wrecked after accidentally rear-ending the pickup.

She said: 'The issue has been resolved at the police station. The pickup truck owner has been charged for reckless driving and he would also be paying for the damage done to my car.'
