Vehicles forced to drive through deep surface water after earlier deluge on Victoria Embankment
Vehicles were forced to drive through rain water that had built up after today's deluge had backed-up drains and was unable to drain away along Victoria Embankment (August 17).
The rain came as the country has suffered drought due to a lack of meaningful rainfall and water companies have imposed measures to reduce non-essential consumer water usage such as hosepipe-bans.
