Parked up and unused West Midlands Railway trains at Tyseley train maintenance depot or TMD in Birmingham during railway strike action in England on 18 August 2022.

Railway workers from 14 companies and 40,000 Network Rail staff have walked out today.

A very limited service remains with many services operating from only 07:30 to 18:30.

The following operators have all been affected by the strikes; Avanti West Coast, c2c, Caledonian Sleeper, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Gatwick Express, Grand Central, Great Northern, Great Western Railway, Greater Anglia, Heathrow Express, Hull Trains, London North Eastern Railway, London Northwestern Railway, Lumo, Merseyrail, Northern, Scotrail, South Western Railway, Southeastern, Southern, Stansted Express, Thameslink, TransPennine Express, Transport for Wales and West Midlands Railway.
