Attack on BNP leaders' house in Jessore, Bangladesh

Miscreants attacked and vandalized the houses of Khulna Divisional Organizing Secretary of BNP Central Committee Anindya Islam Amit, District BNP Convener Professor Nargis Begum, Member Secretary Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, Convenor Committee Member Mizanur Rahman Khan in Jessore late on Friday night.
On Saturday afternoon (August 27), when the Kachua Union created a barrier in the BNP's rally-meeting, the leaders retaliated. They vandalized several motorcycles including the car of the Chairman of Narendrapur Union Parishad.
Anindya Islam Amit said in a press conference in the afternoon that the terrorists of Chhatra League-Youth League attacked them and other leaders of BNP by chanting Jai Bangla slogans. However, Jessore police spokesperson District DB Police OC Rupan Kumar said that no one had complained to the police about the attack on the BNP leaders' houses. Police are investigating the matter.
