A soldier killed one and injured two others during a shooting spree at an army camp in Bangkok, Thailand, this morning.

The gunman, who has not been named, went on a rampage at the Royal Thai Army College in the Dusit district of the city shortly before 9:30am local time.

He allegedly brandished the firearm while shouting that '10 people will die' as panicked staff rushed to close him down.

Several rounds were discharged and one person was killed. Two others who were hit were taken to the Vachira Hospital for treatment.

Footage shows the suspected shooter, a soldier in full uniform, being led away by police in bulletproof vests.

Officials said that the suspected shooter was caught on the grounds of the facility and arrested.

Local media reported that the suspect is former military personnel who 'had a grudge' against ex-colleagues.

In February 2020, disgruntled former soldier Jakrapanth Thomma opened fire at a shopping mall killing 29 people and injuring 58 others in Nakhon Ratchasima province. He was later shot dead.
