A man was detained by police in Lenin Square after shouting "I'm not going to die for Putin" after the Russian president ordered the partial mobilisation of Moscow's reserves.

Footage captured on September 21 shows a group of residents opposed to the conscription of 300,000 troops gathering.

A woman is apparently heard shouting, "we live in a democratic state," whilst others exclaimed, "no war!"

According to the filmer, the police claimed the man was detained for participating in an unsolicited public event.
