American TV star turns off telly as her Brit boyfriend watches England in World Cup
An American TV star has divided opinion after she keeps turning off the telly as a joke as her Brit boyfriend watches England in the World Cup.
Former Dancing on Ice star Alex Murphy lives with partner Paul Klein, 30, in London.
The 34-year-old, originally from Boston, US, switched off the TV last night (29 November) as the Three Lions beat Wales 3-0.
She did it as England went through on goal.
Prankster Alex also turned off the box when her home nation drew 0-0 with England last Friday (25 November).
But fans are split with some saying it’s a fun prank and others claiming it is cruel.
In the first one she grabbed the remote as the Three Lions took a free-kick against the USA.
In the TikTok clip, Paul can be seen on the edge of the sofa, watching the TV closely.
However, pro skater Alex - who won the ITV show in 2020 with Joe Swash - is sat behind him while holding the remote up to the TV.
Then, when an England player kicks the ball, Alex turns off the television.
Paul can be seen jumping from his seat and screaming in a hilarious tone while looking around the room.
The funny clip ends with Alex giggling and Paul seeming extremely stressed.
The videos have both gotten over 40 million views.
One person commented: "Saved him the agony of an England miss" [sic]
"Howling,' said someone else.
Another said: "That so mean….. do it again."
"Was he looking around for his phone to call the divorce lawyer," commented someone else.
