'That's unbelievable!' US woman makes marshmallow sandwich for London boyfriend
Brits have been left shocked after an American woman went viral making her British boyfriend a sandwich with a popular US product.
Alex Murphy, 34, who lives in London, recently filmed herself making her boyfriend Paul Klein, 30, a peanut butter and fluff sandwich.
In the clip, the social media influencer, who is originally from Boston, US, grabs two pieces of white bread and two toppings.
She spreads one side with Skippy peanut butter and another with white Marshmallow Fluff, before putting them together, slicing off the crusts and chopping the sandwich in half.
Alex then takes the sandwich to her boyfriend, who dubiously accepts the plate – but has no idea what it contains.
The Brit takes a big chomp and is left in disbelief at the unusual flavour.
"That's really good, that is un believable," Alex says, nodding his head in amazement.
"Wow, wow, this is 10 out of 10."
However, not all social media users from the UK are so convinced.
The video has racked up over 902,000 views and 2,300 comments, with one viewer saying they feel "triggered" by the unusual combo.
'"Don’t judge me guys”.. is it sad that’s all I was doing, was judging her every move, everything she did triggered me in some way, shape or form! Lol," one user commented.
"Being honest I never heard about that and it doesn’t look good sorry," added someone else.
"That looks totally disgusting and why would you cut the crusts off you're not 5, and the bread is only fit for toasting!" wrote a third person.
However, some people, including Brits with US partners, insisted it is actually quite the treat.
"So much better on toast…must spread while bread still warm so everything is melted!" wrote one user.
Someone else added: “I've got my British wife and kids to try it they absolutely love it and makes me think of home."
Alex insists the meal is the best lunchbox sandwich and is a staple in any Bostonian child's lunch.
"People definitely love it in Boston and everyone loves it more than PB&J!," the content creator said.
"Growing up I would have it for lunch, and I know it is a kiddie favourite!"
