A protest was held in front of the Parliament in Sofia, Bulgaria after the deputies changed the electoral code and restored the possibility for voting with paper ballots. And this was a method witch was removed in 2020 the and electoral process was only with machines. According to the protesters, this would bring back the high number of invalid ballots and controlled votes.

New political parties ("We continue the change" and "Democratic Bulgaria") are opponents and see it as an attempt by the “status quo” parties to enable corruption in the electoral process. But their seats were insufficient (73/240).
