Police catch five drug suspects in dramatic raid video in Thailand
This is the dramatic moment cops arrested five people in a suspected drugs den in Thailand.
Police were called to the building after frustrated tenants complained about the noise coming from the 10th-floor apartment room in Khon Kaen province on November 1.
Shield-carrying officers in ballistic vests knocked several times on the door but were met with a suspicious silence.
After a few more moments of waiting, a young woman then opened the door, allowing them to barge inside and raid the room.
Police seized drug paraphernalia and plastic containers believed to have been carrying ketamine pills and ecstasy.
Colonel Preecha Kengsarikit, superintendent of the Khon Kaen police, said: 'The building management told us that they have warned the group many times of the disturbance they have been causing but there has been no improvement.'
He said five people were arrested 'in a state of intoxication', identifying the drug suspects as Chitnupong Ponsongkhro, 26, Poj Chotrat, 27, Anastasia Nuangchumpon, 22, Pairin Jampatong, 23, and Sasipa Jirabussayasakul, 26. All of them were residents of the province.
Preecha said: 'Upon examining the area, we found tools used to consume the drugs, and plastic sachets. The group admitted to partying and taking drugs.
'They were brought to Muang Khon Kaen Police Station for a drug test and the results were positive on both the ketamine drug test kit and the ecstasy drug test kit.
'They have all been detained and sent to investigative officers to be prosecuted for illegal drug use.'
