A heartbreaking video has emerged of Wildlife Conservation rangers killing an injured bear in front of a house in Dallas, PE, US.

The footage, shot by a motorist on Monday, shows two officers taking the young bear behind a tree before a gunshot can be heard.

After the shot the small bear, that was previously hit by a car, can be seen running away before it seems to collapse on the floor.

"This poor bear got clipped by a car, he was still mobile just limping", the filmer later wrote online.

He added: "Unfortunately the Game Commission officer had to restrain him and shoot him right in front of someone's front yard.

"I watched him take two amateur shots while trying to kill the bear and watched the bear seize in agony before it died."
